East Hartford, Ct 2nd alarm

East Hartford, Ct responded to this second alarm at 108 Sisson St on 11/18/09 at 0353 hours. A second alarm was transmitted on arrival of first due Engine 1 due to a heavy fire condition in the rear of the building. Members made entry into the first floor but due to the heavy fire and a "colliers mansion" condition members were forced to exit the building and go to defensive mode. One occupant was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Mutual aid from Hartford and Manchester covered EHFD stations.
