Hartford, Ct responded to 639 Broad St. about 1210 hours for this 2nd alarm fire. District 3 struck the 2nd on arrival due to heavy fire conditions. Access was tough due to alley ways in the area having steel fences and those with gates, most of them were welded shut. Members stretched lines through ajacent buildings.
