Hartford, Ct 3rd alarm
Hartford, Ct had this 3 alarm fire with special calls as their first multiple of 2010. Fire was located at 50 Willard St at 1624 hours on 1/6/10 in a 160 unit 4 story brick 125' X 350' apartment building. Call was dispatched as a fire alarm from 34 Willard St. After District 2 arrived with nothing showing fire alarm advised them of a second call reporting a fire in the bathroom at 50 Willard St. (same building). After checking that part of the building the working fire was transmitted. Ladder company's made trench cuts in the roof to stop the spread but the fire overtook the cuts. Mutual aid from East Hartford, West Hartford, New Britain, Uconn (Farmington), Manchester and Meriden responded to the city for coverage. While in the city the mutual aid companies responded to numerous calls. http://www.HFDRadio.com has the audio from the fire.

on January 13, 2010Hey Patrick,
Nice to see you caught some work in Hartford! Great photos. Nice job on documenting what appears to be a tough job. I know I've responded to that building a couple of times for minor stuff when I was buffing down there. Keep up the good work Brother!
