Norwich, Ct 3rd alarm plus

Norwich, Ct members responded to 401 N. Main St at 0254 hours on 4/27/10 for this fire in a vacant mill. When Engine 2 members opened the overhead door to their quarters they were meet with heavy fire conditions in the mill located across the street from their firehouse. I arrived late but while there I could see 7 elevated master streams at work. Building had very limitied access for firefighters. Many mutual aid departments assisted NFD in extinguishing the fire.
