Vernon, Ct 2nd alarm

On 7/28/10 at 0235 hours the Town of Vernon FD was dispatched to 6 Hartford Turnpike the "Drive Auto Group" for a working structure fire. On arrival members had heavy fire showing from the roof area. A special call for an extra ladder and rescue was made followed by the second alarm. Manchester Fire Rescue EMS Engine/Medic 5 responded as the RIT company (this fire was on the Manchester town line and Engine 5 is just down the street) and other area departments covered Vernon's stations. There were no injuries and the fire marshal is investigating.
